| Nissan fuel hose currently sold is and has been bio fuel compatible for nearly ten years. The old Hiprex (brand) labeled hose which was stock on our cars has long been replaced and superseded by their current hose which is labeled ECO / FPM. "When selecting OE fuel systems, more and more automotive manufacturers have gone for FPM hoses – instead of the conventional NBR/CR hoses – since their introduction in the mid-1990's. And it's just their suitability for a wide range of temperatures that makes FPM hoses ideal for the more stringent demands made on modern engines. And what's more, they are particularly environmentally friendly and resistant to all commercially available fuels, including to aggressive Diesel fuels containing PME and RME (bio diesel).
The hard-wearing ECO cover protects the hose from all influences arising from the engine compartment. The lining, made of FPM, ensures extremely low permeation. So it also prevents the smell commonly given off by fuels.
